Transport Insurance

Transport insurance or Marine Cargo insurance, as it is more commonly known, is included within the freight pricing for shipments of a value under NZD 1000.00 and is NOT included within the freight pricing for shipments of a value exceeding NZD 1000.00.

If you do not have an existing  Marine Open Cover policy and the consignment value exceeds NZD1000.00 you can purchase Marine Open Cover from us to cover your express courier movements on a per shipment basis. This is available on application and both cover and the premium level is dependant on the commercial value and contents of the shipment.

Shipments valued at over NZD 5000.00 will require pre-inspection and consultation by Cameron Global Express staff before the extent of the cover and final insurance premiums can be determined.

All of the required paperwork, as outlined in the Documents Template, must accompany each shipment and note that all packages can be subject to  physical search and x-ray for Customs and Airline security purposes. A packing list for the contents of your package and a declaration of value is required to initiate cover.

It is important that suitable packaging is used so that the goods are suitably protected and covered for transport insurance through being sufficiently packed for the inherent nature of the goods shipped.

While Cameron Global Express will inspect that all shipments are in a suitably packed condition before despatch the provision of suitable packaging is a shippers care. 

Cameron Global Express does offer two differing sized soft satchels to utilize and stocks can be supplied for regular shippers
